dc.description.abstractPT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is a state-owned company operating in the railway transportation sector, with employees distributed across various regions of Indonesia. This study provides a detailed explanation of the employee transfer process carried out at the Head Office of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). In an organization of this scale, employee transfers constitute an important part of human resource management, influencing the effectiveness of employee placement, the improvement of work capabilities, and the company’s overall performance. This study aims to examine in depth the employee transfer strategy implemented by the Head Office of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). It also explores the steps involved in designing the strategy, formulating relevant policies, executing the transfer process, conducting periodic evaluations, and determining actions taken by the company to ensure that the employee transfer process runs smoothly and in accordance with the organizational needs. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and documentation. The study involved seven informants, consisting of two employees from the Employee Transfer Unit, who possessed knowledge of policy procedures, and five employees who had directly experienced position transfers. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the employee transfer system at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is designed in accordance with the company's operational needs, employee competencies, and considerations regarding career advancement. The implementation involves a structured administrative process, interdepartmental coordination, and periodic reviews. Evaluations are conducted to assess whether the new positions align with employees' abilities and to identify obstacles that arise during the transfer process. Subsequent improvements and policy adjustments are made to enhance the effectiveness of the employee transfer system in the future. Overall, the study concludes that PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) has established a well-designed employee transfer strategy, supported by clear procedures. However, improvements are still needed in communication, clarity of information, and policy alignment to ensure that the transfer process yields maximum benefits for both the company and the employees involved.en_US
