Abstract
The success or failure of a business is largely determined by the quality of managerial decisions on financial field, one of which is in
making various investment decisions. The quality of investment decisions
is determined by how financial managers allocate funds into appropriate
forms of investment in order to generate profits in the future. This study
aims to analyze the factors that influence corporate investment decisions.
The population in this research is food and beverages and
pharmaceutical companies of manufacturing sector listed in Indonesia
Stock Exchange 2011-2015. Population are selected due to the two sectors
which always be required to keep abreast of market developments.
Sampling technique is a purposive sampling method that produces 90
samples.
The results of this study indicate that sales growth variables have a
significant influence on investment decisions,while the variable
profitability and investment opportunities do not have a significant
influence on investment decisions because there are still some companies
that still have financial constraints, thus lowering the interest of
companies make various investment decisions.
