dc.description.abstractThe study entitled Analysis Effect of Leadership Style on Motivation And Performance Boarding School Teachers In East Java Tebuireng Jombang aims to determine the effect of leadership style on teacher motivation and performance by using the theory of leadership style behavior (Behavior Theory) ie, with each variable Authoritarian, Democratic, and Laissez-faire, and to find out which of the three variable factors are the highest influence. In this study the methods used in obtaining the data is to use the questionnaire method, or what we affectionately refer to as a questionnaire, which is a technical way of distributing questionnaires to the respondents. Sample of respondents is the teachers who are in boarding school environment Tebuireng with confidence level of 0.9 (90%), from the results determined of a sample 96. Methods now play in data analysis to determine the effect of leadership factors Authoritarian, Democratic, and Laissez-faire, first tested with the validation sample of 30 people, to determine the score of the item correlation r> r table = (0.361) and the data reliability testing with Cronbach Alpha method. The results showed that there’s a significant relationship between leadership Authoritarian, Democratic, and Laissez-faire to work motivation and performance of teachers, the conclusion can be seen from the results of F tests on each variable, namely the F-count value is lower than the significance of 0, 05 or (0.000 <0.05). Democratic and variable is the most dominant variable to influential teacher motivation and performance, the conclusion can be seen from the beta coefficient for democratic leadership to motivation beta coefficient equal is 0.355 at large. As for the Democratic leadership to obtain the performance of most of the beta coefficient is 0.408. In this case, can be indicated that the motivation and performance of the teacher in boarding school Tebuireng been realized because of the leadership Authoritarian, Democratic, and Laissez-Faire. While there are still 65.0% to 59.1% variable for motivation and performance are influenced by factors other than the variable of this study.
