| dc.description.abstract | South area of Krapyak Stage has many of schools, from pre-school, elementary school to senior high school. Indeed, those school will likely hold an art performance whereas those school only have a small building so it is not possible to perform art performances adequately. Therefore, in south area of Krapyak Stage need to have an adequate performance art building. Beside, as Yogyakarta is a cultural center city, this art performance building can be a complement of art and cultural needs in the city of Yogyakarta.
Approach on this design is modern art building yet adapt with surrounding environment and also has a traditional characteristic. That area has historical building such as krapyak stage and also has many of buildings with different architectural characteristics from traditional to modern. Therefore this approach will be a guidance in designing performance art building in that area.
Visual comfort become prominent in designing performance art building because a successful performance art building is a comfortable performance art building, one of which is visually comfortable. Thus, this performance art building will use visual comfort principle into this building through designing a good and correct audience spaces to make it comfortable visually. | en_US |
