dc.description.abstractThis study aims to identify and examine the role of knowledge creation as a mediation between the speed of innovation and the competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises. Competence and market-based knowledge creation is usually carried out by companies to create boundaries and widen the distance for emerging business actors with similar businesses and trying to enter the market. The object of this research is culinary Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) in Yogyakarta and Sleman. Sampling using judgment sampling taken from MSME business owners, business managers/managers and operational staff who collected 110. Questionnaire collection and data processing were carried out by PLS SEM analysis using the SmartPLS version 3.0 application. The results of this study indicate that the speed of innovation has a positive effect on the competitiveness of MSEs and knowledge creation as a mediating variable has a positive effect between the speed of innovation and the competitiveness of MSEs in Yogyakarta and Sleman.en_US
