Analisis Pola Komunikasi Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) Dalam Pengelolaan Objek Wisata di Kabupaten Bantul

Abstract

In order to improve tourism in Yogyakarta, especially in Bantul, the management of tourism become the important things in supporting the advancement of tourism, especially in the regions. Bantul is one of the districts that contribute significantly to involve Pokdarwis in tourism. Communication become one of the things that really affect the management process. This research was conducted in order to determine patterns of communication Travel Awareness Group (Pokdarwis) in the management of tourism in the district of Bantul. This research used descriptive method with qualitative approach, researcher used a purposive sampling techniques and obtained informants were four groups which include Pokdarwis Cerme Asri, Pokdarwis Goa Cemara, Pokdarwis Kalibuntung, and Pokdarwis Pantai Baru. Data was obtained through interviews, observation, and literature. Data analysis technique that is performed through several stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The result of the research showed that there were internal communication flow direction in which interwoven vertical communication flows in the form of upward communication and downward communication. In the internal communication also established communication flows horizontally. In Pokdarwis Bantul there are also external communication. Internal communication that exists in Pokdarwis pattern forming a star (pinwheel) structure of the communication network, whereas in external communications structural pattern of wheel communication network.
