Stres Kerja Ditinjau Dari Beban Kerja Mental Dan Konflik Peran Dengan Kepribadian Tipe A Dan B Sebagai Variabel Moderating (Studi Pada Wartawan Surat Kabar Harian Di Yogyakarta)
Abstract
This research entitled “The Effect of Mental Workload and Role Conflict to Job Stress With Type A and B Personality as Moderating Variable (The Case Study on The Daily Newspaper Journalist at Yogyakarta)”. This aim of study was to analyzed: (1) the effect of mental workload to job stress, (2) the effect of role conflict to job stress, (3) the effect of mental workload and role conflict to job stress, (4) the effect of mental workload to job stress with type A and B personality as moderating variable, (5) the effect of role conflict to job stress with type A and B personality as moderating variable, (6) the effect of mental workload and role conflict to job stress with type A and B personality as moderatimg variable, (7) the difference job stress between type A journalist and type B journalist. The statistical methods used in this study were simple linear regression, multiple regression, moderated regression analysis, independent samples t-test and one way anova method, t-test, and f-test.
The result of the research showed that: (1) mental workload affected job stress significantly, (2) role conflict affected job stress significantly, (3) mental workload and role conflict affected job stress significantly. This study however did not prove that type A and B personality as moderating variable affected job stress. And the latter result show that job stress between type A journalist and type B journalist are not different.
