“Kepemimpinan Perempuan Di Organisasi Pemerintah” (Studi Kasus Kualitatif Tiga Lurah di Kota Yogyakarta)
Abstract
Women leadership is no longer a profession that is rarely encountered in the workplace. Within the last decade has been a lot of women who bravely led an organization and provide a different type of leadership from the man and not a few are able to provide achievement. This research aimed to determine the trait of women leadership style of three headman in three kelurahan in Yogyakarta, conducted with qualitative approach and in-depth interviews, as well as direct observation. The objects in this study were headman of Kelurahan Mujamuju, Kelurahan Wirogunan, and Kelurahan Pringgokusuman. Test data credibility in the data results of qualitative research carried out by triangulation and member checking was used to determine the validity of data.
From the results of research conducted can be concluded that the trait of women leaders like the mother, the pet, the sex object, and the iron maiden appeared in each headman that became the object of research. In the course of three leaders of women's careers, they had their own motivation in work and experienced gender injustice in the form of stereotyping, psychological violence, as well as the double burden for her role as a leader and a housewife. Both the trait of leadership, career and achievement motivation as well as gender injustice mutually influence each other.
