    Abstract
High quality of workers’ performance is a demand from a company to deal with the rivalry in work fields. Such performance is highly influenced by the leadership style of leaders and the workers’ skill based on trust. Workers’ perception related to trust level can improve the performance of the workers’ in PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Limited Company) in Region 6 Yogyakarta. Therefore, the objective of this research is to find out about the impacts of leadership and work skills on workers’ performance through trust. This research was descriptive and verificated which employed explanatory analysis method. The population was 610 operational workers’ of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Limited Company) in Region 6 Yogyakarta; the technique of proportional random sampling was used to select 61 workers. The data collection used questionnaires. The data analysis method employed Cronbach’s Alpha, one sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov, tolerance values and VIF, as well as Test Park. The result shows that leadership does not have impact on workers’ performance, work skills do not have direct impact on it either, but trust has direct positive impacts on trust. Meanwhile, the analysis of indirect impacts of leadership and work skills on workers’ performance through trust shows that leadership has more dominant or stronger impacts than work skills with the coefficient gap of 17%. Therefore, both leadership and work skills have great impact on workers’ performance even through the impact of leadership is greater than of work skills. Good leadership and professional work skill can aoutomatically lead to higher trust so that workers’ performance also improves.
