    Abstract
    Soft skills and hard skills required for success. Hard skills can be obtained by students through academic activities at the university, while the soft skills can be acquired through the student organization activities. This study aims to determine the involvement of students in relation to student organizations and student achievement. Subjects in the study were members of the Dewan Perwakilan Mahasiswa Islamic University of Indonesia. The test credibility Data in qualitative research study is conducted with the triangulation of time to determine the validity of the data. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that student involvement in the organization interfere with academic studies because poor time management and attendance obligations 75% from university.
