ANALISIS FAKTOR RESIKO KESELAMATAN DAN KESEHATAN KERJA DI PLTGU CILEGON
Abstract
The operation of power plants has a high level of complexity and safety and health hazards
to workers. Therefore it takes stamina condition of body healthy physically and spiritually.
Based on baseline surveys the musculoskeletal disorders risk rate: 97% moderate and 3%
high, the risk work-related stress level: 80% moderate and 3% high, the fatigue risk level:
83% high and 17% moderate. The study purpose was identify the risk factors causing
musculoskeletal disorders and work-related stress as well as provide necessary
improvements recommendations. The conducted survey was identify the musculoskeletal
disorders complaint and work-relates stress on the PLN PLTGU Cilegon operation and
maintenance using Nordic body map questionnaire and the questionnaire on the subjective
fatigue complaints. An ergonomics evaluation checklist is used to identify the
musculoskeletal disorders causes and the work-relates stress causes. The physical
environment conditions include noise, lighting and temperature are measured by sound level
meter, lux meter and thermometer. The workers’ health is based on workers medical record
reports every semester. Nonparametric statistical analysis with Cochran's Q Test method
was performed to examine the factors that influence the musculoskeletal disorders and the
work-related stress. The study results identified several causes of musculoskeletal disorders
risk which caused by the repeated activity: data recording, opening and closing of the
valves, chemical filling, equipment operation and the awkward posture: bending, looking
down, looking up, reaching excessively, standing, finger pressing. This study also found the
work-related stress risk that are the physical factor: noise, lighting, room temperature and
the somatic factor: the body fatigue and pain. The proposed improvement
recommendations are improvement: noise, lighting, room temperature and ergonomic
ventilation, working health and ergonomics knowledge development and personal
protective equipment standardization and regular sports activities and improving healthy
life without smoking.
