The Survey Of Students’ Achievement On Vocabulary Task By Using Comic Strips In Mts Al-Kholidiyyah Binangun-Cilacap
Abstract
The aim of this research is to survey the score of the first grade students in
MTs Al Kholidiyyah Binangun Cilacap using comic strips in the academic year of
2016/2017. The research was done in one week, from 19th of December to 24th of
December 2016. During this time, the researcher conducted an observation and
the survey. The subjects of this research were 54 students of VII class. The data
was in the form of quantitative data. The quantitative data were collected from the
students’ vocabulary task score of two assignments to see the students’
achievement on vocabulary task and also observed whether the comic strips could
help students to fulfill the standard of students score (KKM) or not. The result
showed that the vocabulary task of comic strips was over than 75. The mean
scores of class VII A was 84.9167, the mean score of class VII B was 83,02778,
and the mean of class VII C was 80,8888889. In conclusion, the students’
achievement on vocabulary task could help students to meet the standard score or
KKM through the implementation of Comic Strips. On the result analysis of Ttest,
the result of T-test were divided into three groups. The first group was class
A with class B had a value of T in the amount of 2,116. The result of T-test of the
second group in class A with class C had value was t=4,475. The result of T-test
of the third group in the T-test between class B to class C with value t=2,610.
Based on the T-test, could be said in these three groups had the difference in the
average value of significant.
