Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Superioritas Perempuan Pada Film Marlina Si Pembunuh Dalam Empat Babak
Abstract
Marlina The Killer in Four Acts is an Indonesian film by Mouly Surya which was
released in 2017. This film tells about women and their struggles in seeking justice. This film
also shows acts of violence and rape experienced by women. This research is only focused
on the public's perception of women's superiority in the film Marlina Si Killer in Four Acts
in four phases, namely the robbery phase, Marlina's journey phase, the recognition phase
and the birth phase so that the purpose of this study is to determine the public's perception
of women's superiority in the film Marlina the Killer in Four Acts.
The type of research used is qualitative descriptive. The research approach used is
constructivism. This study uses key informants as research subjects and as the main data
source. These key informants were selected purposively with the aim of ensuring the quality
of the data and information found. Data were collected by the researchers themselves in
accordance with the principle of participant observation, through in-depth interviews,
documentation studies and direct observation of research objects. The research data in the
form of field notes were analyzed in several stages which included the stages of data
reduction, data presentation and conclusion/verification
The results of this study indicate that the public's perception of women's superiority
in the film Marlina The Killer in Four Acts lies in the aspects of life's vision, heart conviction,
self-confidence, and enthusiasm and ambition.
