The latest event in 2016, with Mahakarya Banua as the main theme, showcases the local Dayak and Banjar culture. Researcher uses the qualitative approach to answer the research question. Data colleting method used in this research is participatory observation and semi-structured interview. The researcher conduct the observation by directly participating in the event management process. This research generates five research findings. First, the TEF planning is based on the concept designs, coordination, and notion evaluation of previous events results. Second, the volunteer organizing process experienced a little miscommunication prior to the event execution. Third, the work direction distribution amongst the volunteers in TEF Event are based on their capabilities. Fourth, the control function is done by conducting final evaluation at the end of the event’s sequences, which intended to control the planning process from start until the event’s execution. Finally, promotional process is done to support the event management process, which have a positive impact for both the event and the conservation of local culture.
