    Abstract
This research, titled "The Impact of the Bins Culture Event on Promoting Thrift and Vintage Clothing as a Contemporary Lifestyle" examines how The Bins Culture event contributes to promoting vintage and thrift clothing while shaping public perception of vintage culture in Indonesia. The event serves as a creative space for young people to rediscover the aesthetic and sustainable value of secondhand clothing that carries historical and stylistic significance. The study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach, using in-depth interviews with visitors and organizers as well as direct observation during the event. The findings reveal that The Bins Culture significantly raises awareness and builds positive perceptions toward vintage and thrift fashion. Through its activities— such as auctions, live music, and social media promotion—the event successfully transforms the idea of buying secondhand clothes into a creative and sustainable lifestyle. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including consumer perceptions of pricing, social stigma toward secondhand clothing, and the lack of institutional support from both the fashion industry and the government. Despite these challenges, The Bins Culture shows strong potential to evolve into a cultural and sustainable fashion movement that influences consumer consciousness and strengthens Indonesia’s creative industry landscape.
