    Abstract
    There are several cases of life-threatening asylum related to the elements of architectural space. The lack of capacity for Mental Hospital and Rehabilitation of Mental Disorders encourages mental patients not to receive good care. In building facilities for psychiatric patients, many negative actions occur from patients who self-harm themselves or others. Among them, many are utilizing elements of the room for violence or self-imposed. Patients with mental disorders who are vulnerable to negative actions involving elements of space / buildings can harm the patient itself and others. The worst impact of the design error is that it can lead to inadequate care for the patient, the death of the patient, the security and safety of the building occupants. The location of the study is a project of Planning Development Planning Parikes Semarang Karangkembang Lamongan District. During the process in planning this Puskesmas require special research on puskesmas of inpatient care unit. The building for the inpatient of this psychiatric patient must be unique in terms of the type of building. In the planning need more research / study of psychological theories related to the design decisions made by architects. At the planning stage of puskesmas planning, especially psychiatric hospitalization, psychological approach is not applied in a way. Lack of information on the psychological aspects of the design planning phase, the limited source of information. Not a specialist consultant in building this building.
