dc.description.abstractDinas Kesehatan Provinsi Riau as a Government Institution which is in charge of public health has a primary goal to increase people's awareness, willingness and ability to live healthy in order to achieve high level of public health. In tackling the issues of natural disasters that occur in Riau province, it is mandatory for the government to provide a disaster management policies. This is implemented by Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Riau in Riau Province by conducting disaster management campaign. This research was conducted to find out how the campaign management was conducted by Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Riau in Riau Province. The research also aims to describe the implementation of the campaign management which was conducted in order to solve the haze problem in Riau Province. The theory used in this study is the theory of campaign management, which includes campaign planning, campaign implementation, organization and campaign monitoring. The theoretical basis used in the research is SWOT analysis, which is a necessary foundation to measure an investigation of a company or government agency. This research also used descriptive qualitative research method to explain and and describe the result of research data completely. The result of the research shows there were several stages of campaign management that have been performed in the campaign of haze prevention in Riau. The campaign management was conducted similarly as mentioned in Antar Venus book which includes campaign planning, campaign planning stage, campaign model, campaign strategy, campaign message, campaign channel, campaign performer and monitoring or campaign evaluation. In addition, there were several factors supporting the implementation of campaign management, which were utilization of selected communication media at the time of the campaign, the strategy used for the campaign, direct actions taken at the time of the campaign, opportunities to cooperate with other parties and the rapid response provided by the central government. Among the inhibiting factors are, inability to reach the entire target audience which is the people of Riau, inadequate organization during the campaign, lack of campaign preparation, as well as geographical challenges and other things that can happen at the level of public awareness of health is still very minimal.en_US
