dc.description.abstractTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Efektivitas Komunikasi terhadap Motivasi dalam meningkatkan Kinerja Karyawan. Penggunaan variabel-variabel ini berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu antara lain, Bass & Avolio (1994), DeVito (2007), Herzberg (1966) dan Robbins (2002). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Ghrasia Yogyakarta dengan jumlah responden yang digunakan adalah sebesar 176 karyawan. Perhitungan olah data dilakukan dengan metode Path Analysis menggunakan Regresi Linier melalui program statistika SPSS. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa Gaya Kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Motivasi dan Gaya Kepemimpinan secara langsung berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. Kemudian, pengaruh Efektivitas Komunikasi terhadap Motivasi ialah positif dan signifikan, dan pengaruhnya terhadap Kinerja Karyawan ditemukan positif dan signifikan. Ditemukan pula bahwa Motivasi memediasi pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. Sekaligus, Motivasi juga memediasi Efektivitas Komunikasi terhadap Kinerja Karyawan. Gaya Kepemimpinan dan Efektivitas Kepemimpinan secara simultan memberikan pengaruh terhadap Motivasi sebesar 49,8% sementara 50,2% dipengaruhi variabel lain. Sementara Gaya Kepemimpinan, Efektivitas Komunikasi, dan Motivasi secara simultan mempunyai pengaruh sebesar 60% dan sisanya 40% dipengaruhi variabel lain. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Leadership Style and Communication Effectivity on Motivation in improving Employee Performance. The use of these variables are based on previous research, namely, Bass & Avolio (1994), DeVito (2007), Herzberg (1966) and Robbins (2002). This research was conducted at the Ghrasia Psychiatric Hospital Special Region of Yogyakarta with the number of employee that is used as respondent is 176 employees. Calculations performed by Path Analysis method using linear regression through the statistical program SPSS. The results of the analysis show that the Leadership Style has positive and significant effect on Motivation, yet Leadership Style has positive and significant influence directly to Employee Performance. Influence of Communication Effectivity towards Motivation is also positive and significant, and its influence on Employee Performance directly positive and significant. In addition, it’s found that Motivation mediates the influence of Leadership Style on Employee Performance. Then, Motivation also mediates the influence between Communication Effectivity and Employee Performance. Leadership Style and Communication Effectivity simultaneously take effect on Motivation in the amount of 49,8% while 50,2% is affected by other variables. Meanwhile Leadership Style, Communication Effectivity, and Motivation simultanously has an impact towards Employee Performance for 60% while 40% is affected by others variables.en_US
