| dc.description.abstract | The bombing incident that occurred on January 14, 2016 at the Sarinah Building known as the "Bom Sarinah" has attracted the attention of many Indonesians. This is because the bombing incident occurred in the capital city of Indonesia precisely on MH Thamrin street, Jakarta Pusat and also the largest terror bombing event after the Bali bombings in 2005. Among the various mass media, online news portal became the mass media of society's choice as a reference source information related to the development of the Bom Sarinah event due to its up to date nature in presenting the news. However, behind these advantages are emerging issues related to the lack of news credibility on the online news portal. This is due to the rapid, concise reporting tempo, giving less perspective related events to its audience.
Based on the above background the purpose of research is to provide an initial picture for the community related to the credibility of news presented online news portal Detik.com and Kompas.com in the news of Bomb incidents Sarinah period January 14 to February 14, 2016. Research conducted in the news online media Detik .com and Kompas.com by using quantitative content analysis that is measuring the credibility of online news portal with objectivity theory of mass media reporting proposed by Denis McQuail. By looking at the dimensions of factuality and dimensional impartiality with six aspects in it such as factualness, accuracy, completeness, news value, balance and neutrality.
Based on the results of the total score of the six aspects of research that Factualness, accuracy, completeness, relevance, balance and neutrality and indicators in it, can be drawn conclusion that the credibility value of online news portal Kompas.com higher than the value of credibility Detik.com in the news Bom Sarinah the period January 14 to February 14, 2016. Online news portal Kompas.com has a total credibility score of 71.94 while online news portal Detik.com has a total credibility score of 66.65 | en_US |
