    Aji Bayu Murti. 13321077. The Marketing Communications Strategy Gunungapi Merapi Museum and The Museum of Affandi Yogyakarta in Increasing The Number of Visitors. Minithesis of Bachelor Degree. Communication Studies Department, Major Psychology and Social Culture Faculty, Islamic University of Indonesia. 2017 Abstract: Tourism to survive the competition in Yogyakarta there needs to be proper marketing communications strategy. Using the strategies of marketing communications help the activities of a tourist destinations to use techniques communication devoted to inform many people in the hope of purpose was reached. As conducted by Gunungapi Merapi Museum and The Museum of Affandi Yogyakarta which is a tourist attraction in Yogyakarta. The purpose of this research is to figure out how to strategies of marketing communications conducted by Gunungapi Merapi Museum and The Museum of Affandi Yogyakarta in increasing the number of visitors. To answer the purpose of this research, researchers used marketing mix that having elements 7P which is : Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, dan Physical Evidence. This research method uses a qualitative approach by in-depth interviews , observation, and this study use paradigm constructivism. Based on research results, It was discovered that Gunungapi Merapi Museum and The Museum of Affandi Yogyakarta was focused more promote through publicity, exhibition and the internet. Publicity conducted by Gunungapi Merapi Museum and The Museum of Affandi Yogyakarta is to build cooperation with the Department of Tourism, Department of Culture and Department of Education. Gunungapi Merapi Museum and The Museum of Affandi Yogyakarta equally hold exhibition and event to promote. And promotion over the internet done by Gunungapi Merapi Museum and The Museum of Affandi Yogyakarta use website and social media.
