Hubungan Tingkat Depresi pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Indonesia Angkatan 2011 Dengan Nilai Blok Infeksi (2.2)
Abstract
Background: Depression generally starts with poorly managed stressor. Medical
students has greater possibilities to suffer from stressors leading to depression.
The depression identified among the medical students may interfere with their
concentration and performance during the learning activity process to affect the
final result achievement, i.e. the block scores.
Objective: To identify whether there was a correlation in terms of the
depression level and infection block (2.2) scores among the 2011 batch medical
students of Islamic University of Indonesia.
Methods: This study utilized cross sectional method. The depression level was
measured by Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) questionnaire. Sample sized was
measured by using Slovin formula. 71 students was under the inclusion criteria,
and then the results of the BDI questionnaires were associated with the infection
block (2.2) scores by using Spearman’s rho correlation test.
Result: Based on Spearman’s rho correlation test, sig (2-tailed) <0.05 was found,
indicating the relationship between depression level and block infection test (2.2)
scores of the 2011 batch students of FKUII. The correlative coefficient of 0.315
indicated moderate correlation relationship.
Conclusion: There was a correlation between depression level and block
infection (2.2) scores of 2011 batch student with moderate correlation power.
