dc.description.abstractBackground: Depression generally starts with poorly managed stressor. Medical students has greater possibilities to suffer from stressors leading to depression. The depression identified among the medical students may interfere with their concentration and performance during the learning activity process to affect the final result achievement, i.e. the block scores. Objective: To identify whether there was a correlation in terms of the depression level and infection block (2.2) scores among the 2011 batch medical students of Islamic University of Indonesia. Methods: This study utilized cross sectional method. The depression level was measured by Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) questionnaire. Sample sized was measured by using Slovin formula. 71 students was under the inclusion criteria, and then the results of the BDI questionnaires were associated with the infection block (2.2) scores by using Spearman’s rho correlation test. Result: Based on Spearman’s rho correlation test, sig (2-tailed) <0.05 was found, indicating the relationship between depression level and block infection test (2.2) scores of the 2011 batch students of FKUII. The correlative coefficient of 0.315 indicated moderate correlation relationship. Conclusion: There was a correlation between depression level and block infection (2.2) scores of 2011 batch student with moderate correlation power.en_US
