dc.description.abstractThis research is about a survey of students’ perception on the use of jigsaw technique in reading comprehension for SMAN 1 Pakem grade X IPS 1. This aim of research to investigate students’ difficulties in reading comprehension during teaching and learning in the classroom at SMAN 1 Pakem grade X IPS 1. This type of the research is quantiative research. The population were 160 students and the data were collected 32 students of the grade X IPS 1. In this research, the primary data questionnaire, secondary data as test and classroom observation. The questionnaire to find a respond by students about their perception about jigsaw technique in reading comprehension after implemented in teaching and learning in the classroom. Classroom observation to finding in deep information how the condition in the classroom. And secondary data to measure their level how students understanding about reading comprehension. The finding of this research show that how jigsaw technique can be alternative for students to learn more reading comprehension using jigsaw for teaching and learning. Furtheremore, students are engage and help them to learn reading comprehension. The result of questionniare data show that the jigsaw technique can help students to improve reading comprehension skill.en_US
