    Abstract
Limonene compound is the main component of the essential oil of lemon (Citrus Limon) peel, with a content of 55-80%. It has an aromatherapy benefit that can reduce pain by affecting prostaglandins. Sitronelal compound is the main component of the essential oil of lemongrass (Cymbopogon Nardus) leaves, with a content of 32-45%. It has a pleasant aromatherapy benefit and therapeutic properties. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the concentration of lemon peel and lemongrass essential oils, identify and analyze the physical characteristics of the aromatherapy gel, including color, shape, smell, as well as the effect of formulation on the physical characteristics of the aromatherapy gel, and determine the characteristics of lemon peel and lemongrass essential oils, so that they can be used as fragrance ingredients in aromatherapy gel. Carrageenan is a food ingredient that has gelling agent properties and immobilizes water, thus increasing viscosity. The research results show that Limonene compound has a content of 72.98% and Sitronelal compound has a content of 51.67%. F1 with a ratio of 2:1 received the highest preference score from the panelists, with an average value of 3.7, resulting in a refreshing and calming aromatherapy effect. F3 with a ratio of 1:2 has a residual gel weight percentage of 79.11%. Both F1 and F3 have a cloudy white color, a semi-solid gel shape, and a good scent endurance with a final score of 3
