    Abstract
    Feeling secure is one of the human rights that must be obtained by everyone. This is listed on the Indonesian Constitution. Feeling secure is a comprehensive variables because including various aspects and dimensions, as a political, law, defence, security, social and economic. The higher crime cases, it's indicate that people feel more unsafe. Police Chief of DI Yogyakarta, Brigjend Erwin Triwanto said, Sleman has being first rank as the highest crime area in Province of DI Yogyakarta. Followed by the city of Yogyakarta, Bantul and Kulon Progo, last one Gunung Kidul. Therefore, researchers classify districts in Sleman Regency, based on the case of a criminal act being reported by the public to the local police. This classification using method algorithms Self Organizing Maps (SOM), because SOM are visualization and analysis tools for high-dimensional data and in its classification does not require test assumptions. Descriptive analysis also used to describe generally of crime in Sleman Regency. This data obtained from The Police of Yogyakarta. The results data obtained, five of the most prominent criminal acts in Sleman are., theft, fraud, torturing, stealing, and raping. From the descriptive analysis, theft is the highest crime and rape is the lowest, which is the highest numbers crime found in the Depok subdistrict and the lowest is in Moyudan subdistrict. The results of the SOM analysis retrieved to four cluster to grouping 17 subdistricts in Sleman Regency.
