DESAIN TEMPAT SAMPAH DENGAN PENDEKATAN ERGONOMI PARTISIPATORI
Abstract
Human’s activity can’t be separated from the trash, because the trash is material
useless of human activity which is not desirable. The issue of trash at this time become
one of the main concerns. One place that has a high production potential trash in a city
is a university. Islamic University of Indonesia is one of the colleges that provide
organic trash, inorganic, and combustable. However, the behavior of students in
accordance with the type the trash still not been implemented. Therefore, the design of
bins in accordance with the wishes of consumers need to be developed. The purpose of
this study is to get the design of bins in accordance with the wishes of consumers. These
bins product development using participatory methods ergonomics which involves
several participants including the Dekanat, Vice Dekanat, Head of the Department, the
Secretary of the Department, Expert Ergonomics, Design Expert, Supervisor Hygiene
and Cleaning Service. The result showed that the attributes desired by consumers that is
attractive design, easy to use, size, strong and information according to desire of
consumers by Marginal Homogeneity test with significance level of 5%.
