dc.description.abstractThis research aims to know the relation between religious involvement and depression in elderly at the nursing home. The hypothesis of this research is “there is a negative relation between religious involvement and depression in elderly”. The subjects in this research were 50 people at nursing home, both male and female, aged over 60 years, and muslims. This research used Geriatric Depression Scales (GDS) developed by Adams (2001) adaption from Rini (2015) and Religious Involvement Scale adaptation from Cholisoh (2013). The data analysis method in this research is product moment from Pearson. The results of the data analysis show correlation r=-0.339 and p=0.008 (p<0.01),which means there is negative significant relation between religious involvement and depression, so we can conclude that the hypothesis is accepted.en_US
