| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this research is to investigate and describe students’ perceptions on using English songs in learning English pronunciation. This research employs a qualitative approach as a research design. This research was conducted in an informal learning institution in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. The participants of this research were two females and one male students who have different English level class at MM private English course. Furthermore, the data were collected from interviews as the main source in this research. This research used thematic analysis to analyze the data findings. This research findings show that the students have positive perspectives related to the advantages of using English songs in learning English pronunciation such as English songs could enhance students’ motivation in learning and students’ pronunciation skill. The researcher also found some challenges that were faced by the students while learning English pronunciation using the English songs such as some English sounds which were difficult to pronounce for instance [ʊ], [ʃ] and [f] sounds and the speed of the songs which were not suitable with students’ level.
