Investigation of Internal Factors in Big Data Adoption To Achieve Competitive Advantage in Indonesian Company

Abstract

This study has an objective to investigate whether there is internal factors that is affecting the big data adoption in order to achieve competitive advantage in Indonesia. The internal factors that will be invetigate are top management support, organizational change, infrastructure, and required skillset. In this research, the researcher is using the structured questionnaire to collect the data. Moreover, the data that have been collected will be processed by using SmartPLS 3.0. The total sample of this research are 32 employees at all levels within the Indonesian company which already adopting big data. Moreover, the researcher found that the the infrastructure and required skillset are having significant impact to the big data adoption. However, the top management support and organizational change do not have significant impact on the big data adoption and big data adoption do not have impact to the competitive advantages. This study shows that infrastructure and required skillset are relevant for the big data adoption. Therefore, the manager should focus on this two factors to adopt big data in order to achieve competitive advantage. Keywords:
