Abstract
There is a tendency that prayer becomes one thing that is difficult to
internalize to children. There are many factors, starling from parents who do not
teach children since a very early age, the absence of role model, to being socially
far from religion. Therefore, to change such situations require efforls, one of
which is through education where the internalization of values takes place.
However, it is not an easy task to do, regarding the challenges that exist. Thus,
this requires a strategy to appropriately address the issues. This study aimed to
answer two things: what are the strategies of internalizing educational values
according to Hadith by Abu Dawud related to prayer command? V/hat are the
educational values that can be learnt related to prayer command mentioned in the
Hadith by Abu Dawud?
This was a library research which was descriptive-analysis. This study
used the approach of the sociology of education, of which the analysis technique
was content analysis. The primary data source was taken from a book entitled
Sunan Abu Dawud written by Abu Dawud dan a book entitled Pendidikan Seks
written by Abdullah Nashih Ulwan and Hassan Hathout. In addition, the
secondary data source was taken from various references relevant to the topic of
this study.
The findings showed that making habbit, role model, supervision, and
punishment are the most appropriate strategies to use. However, punishmeut shall
be practiced in stages'. repertoir, punitive, and regressive by avoiding physical
punishment. Nonetheless, when physical punishment shall be given, it shall not
result in wound. In addition, the educational values that could be learnt are related
to faith, moral, thought, physical, mental, social, and sexual education.
