dc.description.abstract | In order to answer the problem of Global Fiheries Crisis, International Community start to establish Regional Fisheries Management Organizations, one of the Organization is Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission. This Regional Organization establish in 2004, Indonesia as an Archepilagic State that has a territory that cross border with this RFMOs territory consider has a urgency to get involve in it. In 2013 Indonesia through the Presidential Regulation Number 61 year of 2013 ratified the WCPFC Convention,become the member of this Organization, Indonesia has the access to the WCPFC territory, but with the lack of technology that can be exercise this area, Indonesia at 2016 only can exercise 525,633 tonnes, this is because of Indonesia only have 15 ships that comply to the Conservation Management Measures of WCPFC itself. The methodology used in this reseach is normative approach which relies on library study in gathering any appropriate legal sources, such as books, journals or any legal documents to find out the answer of the problem statements. The result of this research is that the lack of technology in Indonesia itself causes that we cannot exersice it optimaly. And the benefit of Indonesia itself with join this organization is Indonesia have an legal access to the WCPFC territory, also Indonesia have a right to get involve in the Conservation Management Measures determination. | en_US |
