    Abstract
This study discusses the practice of resolving cases of the offences against persons or goods jointly in public by children. The issues discussed in this thesis are the factors that cause children to commit the offences against persons or goods jointly in public in the Klaten Regency and how the Klaten Police enforce the law against the offences against persons or goods jointly in public. This study uses empirical legal research methods with a sociological approach. The research process began with the collection of social and legal facts, which were obtained through interviews with the Head of the Klaten Police Criminal Investigation Unit. The analysis used in this study is descriptive qualitative. This study focuses on the causes of assault crimes and law enforcement by investigators from the general criminal investigation directorate against street crimes in the form of assault crimes committed by children in the jurisdiction of the Klaten District Police. The results show that: first, the factors contributing to assault crimes are environmental factors, self-control factors, and solidarity factors. Second, the law enforcement process by the Klaten District Police is carried out in two ways: prevention (pre- emptive, preventive) and enforcement (repressive), in accordance with Law Number 8 of 1981 concerning Criminal Procedure Law, taking into account Law No. 11, 2012concerning the Criminal Justice System for Children, Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, and Article 170 of the Criminal Code concerning the Crime of Assault.
