    NANOENKAPSULASI MINYAK BUAH JERUK PURUT (Citrus hystrix) DENGAN MATRIKS MALTODEKSTRIN MENGGUNAKAN METODE SPRAY DRYING

    Abstract
    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang nanoenkapsulasi minyak jeruk purut dengan penyalut maltodekstrin. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh rasio penyalut maltodekstrin terhadap homogenitas nanoenkapsulasi minyak jeruk purut dan karakteristik permukaan dari produk nanoenkapsulasi minyak jeruk purut. Minyak jeruk purut didapatkan dari produksi CEOS. Untuk mengetahui kandungan di dalamnya, minyak dianalisis menggunakan Gas Chromatoghraphy-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) dan didapatkan kandungan terbesar dari minyak jeruk purut adalah sikloheksene (18,62%),sikloheksana-1-metanol (14,16%). Kemudian diikuti proses pembuatan nanoenkapsulasi minyak jeruk purut menggunakan bahan penyalut maltodekstrin dan Tween80 sebagai surfaktan menggunakan teknik spray drying. Serbuk yang dihasilkan kemudian diuji kestabilan pelepasannya dengan proses controlled release yang dilakukan setiap hari yang dianalisis menggunakan instrumen Gas Chromatoghraphy (GC). Hasil dari controlled release didapatkan bahwa variasi sampel dari perbandingan minyak : Maltodekstrin : Tween80 adalah 4:94:1 dengan hasil pengukuran GC dengan luas area total sebesar 216616.4706. Minyak jeruk purut pada variasi sampel dengan rasio 4:94:1 merupakan hasil yang paling stabil pelepasannya dengan ukuran partikel yang didapat sebesar 208,1nm. Kemudian dianalisis menggunakan SEM untuk mengetahui karakteristik permukaan sampel. Analisis SEM juga menyatakan telah adanya interaksi antara minyak jeruk purut dengan maltodekstrin sebagai bahan penyalut. It has been done research about kaffir lime nanoncapsulation with maltodekstrin coating. The purpose of this research was to observe the influence of ratio maltodekstrin coating to nanoencapsulation homogenity of kaffir lime and to know the characteristics of kaffir lime nanoenkapsulation product. Oil kaffir lime has been obtained CEOS production. To find out the matrix of kaffir lime, gas chromatography – Mass spectrometry (GC–MS) was used and it was found that the major constituents of kaffir lime matrix were cyclohexen ( 18,62%) and cyclohexene-1-methanol (14,16%). Next process was preparation of the nanoencapsulation of kaffir lime oil that used maltodekstrin coating using spray drying technique. The powder was obtained from the previous step, then tested the release stability using controlled release process that was done everyday and analyzed with Gas chromatography (GC) instrument. The result from controlled release got that variation of kaffir lime oil : maltodekstrin : Tween80 was 4 :94:1 with the GC result total area was 216616.4706. Kaffir lime oil in the sample variation with ratio 4:94:1 gave the most stable result of the release with the particle size obtained was 208,1 nm. And then the kaffir lime oil has been analyzed with SEM to know the characteristics of sample surface. SEM analysis clarified that there was interaction between kaffir lime oil and maltodekstrin as the coating material.
