    Abstract
    Penelitian ini melakukan sintesis karbon nanodot (C-dots) dari perbandingan asam sitrat dan urea sebagai bentuk pendoping tungsten trioksida membentuk WO3/C-dots untuk fotokatalis metilen biru. Hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi dengan Scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray difraktion (XRD) dan fourier transform infra red (FTIR). WO3/C-dots memiliki kemampuan fotoabsorpsi kuat di bawah cahaya tampak dibuktikan dengan hasil aplikasi pada metilen biru 0,1 mM efisiensi fotodegradasi mencapai 76,22 % pada sampel WO3 / C-dots A, 41,32 % pada WO3/C-dots B, serta 51,77 % WO3/C-dots C, setelah penyinaran menggunakan cahaya tampak selama 60 menit. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa WO3/C-dots A memiliki aktivitas fotokatalik yang lebih baik serta memiliki potensi aplikasi degradasi polutan organik dalam limbah industri. Herein research performed synthesis of carbon nanodot (C-dots) from citric acid and urea as a form of doped tungsten trioxide (WO3) for photodegradations of methylene blue. Then, synthesis results of carbon nanodots were characterized using by SEM, XRD and FTIR. WO3/C-dots has strong photoabsorption capability under visible light irradiation for photodegradation methylene blue 0,1 mM showed efficiency can be rached as hugh as 76.22 % after irradiation 60 minutes. These results indicate that WO3/C-dots has good photocatalytic activity as well as potential application degradation of organic pollutants in industrial waste.
