    Abstract
    Butyl Acetate is one of industrial product, which is widely used in various industrial sectors. The initial design plant of Butyl Acetate from Butanol and Acetic Acid in Gresik, East Java, in the area of land is 20,119 m2 with capacity 30,000 tonnes/year. This plant will be operated for 330 days or 24 hours a day with 206 employees. The production of Butyl Acetae uses a liquid-liquid phase exothermic process using a reactor (RATB) operating at a temperature of 100˚C and a pressure of 1 atm. The utility needs 142.243,598 kg/hour of cooling water, 1,304,385.386 kg/hour of steam, and 199.83 Hp electricity provided by PLN and back up of the electric generator. The economic analysis shows profit before tax is Rp 848,585,344,893; Profit after tax (15%) is Rp 721,297,543,159; Return On Investment before tax (ROI)b is 58,768% and Return On Investment after tax (ROI)a is 29,384%.Pay Out Time before tax (POT)b is 2,9 year and Pay Out Time after tax (POT)a is 3,3 year. Break Event Point (BEP) is 43,8% and Shut Down Point (SDP) is 19%, with Discounted Cash Flow Rate (DCFR) 30%. Based on the evaluation results, this Butyl Acetate plant with capacity of 30,000 tons / year was worthy for further analysis.
