    Abstract
    In New Order era (1966-1998), Indonesian Government encourages the governmental building to be built with traditional characteristics as a result of man-made culture influenced by local cultures. Javanese architecture, as a regional characteristics of Javanese people, has values in planning which is identical with philosophy, aesthetics and ethics. This research purpose is to find out how the Javanese Architecture in Sub- District Government Office in Ngawi Regency has changed. This research also see through the adaptibility of Javanese Architecture towards certain location with distinct environmental characteristics in certain area at Javanese architecture tipology with the true regionalism approach in order to make the planning and designing better and more optimal in the future. Gathered information then grouped and processed into writing substances with qualitative and descriptive approach. The analysis methods is with comparation tables for building layout, spatial layout, and building elements. The result is to show the presence of parts of Javanese Architecture which has certain pattern or static and part of change in shapes and function.
