    Abstract
The rental of exhibition booths is a crucial component of promotional events, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In practice, discrepancies often occur between the terms of the contract and its execution in the field. This study aims to analyze the ideal formulation of booth rental agreements under Indonesian civil law and to identify legal remedies in the event of non- compliance by the organizer. This research adopts an empirical legal method with a sociological approach, combining library research with field data collection through interviews with IPAS members and exhibition organizers. The findings indicate that many booth rental agreements are drafted without considering key legal principles such as good faith, legal certainty, and the balance of rights and obligations. The lack of dispute resolution clauses places tenants—especially MSMEs—in a legally vulnerable position when unilateral cancellation occurs. Therefore, the formulation of rental contracts should include clear identification of parties, precise rental objects, rental costs and duration, as well as clauses on dispute resolution and force majeure.
