| dc.description.abstract | The growth of artificial intelligence has taken place in the creation of deepfake
technology, leading to the realistic manipulation of images, voices, and videos.
One of its most dangerous artificial intelligence is the creation of deepfake-based
pornography, a type of online sexual violence. In Indonesia, the relevant legal
frameworks include the Pornography Law, the Information and Electronic
Transactions Law, and the Law on Sexual Violence Crimes, whereas the United
Kingdom's Online Safety Act 2023 provides more explicit regulation. This study
applies a normative juridical method with a comparative legal approach. Primary
legal materials include statutory regulations and case law, which are supported by
secondary sources such as books, journals, and academic articles, as well as
tertiary sources such as legal dictionaries and online databases. The data was
gathered through literature and document studies, and the analysis was qualitative,
employing descriptive and comparative techniques. This study compares the
regulations and sanctions for deepfake-based pornography crimes in Indonesia and
the United Kingdom. The method used is normative juridical, with a comparative
legal approach. The study's findings suggests that Indonesia must strengthen
regulations and victim protection mechanisms to address the development of
deepfake technology. To prevent and combat this type of online sexual violence, the
government and society must work together to make specofic regulations. | en_US |
