| dc.description.abstract | Indonesia is located on three (3) World Tectonic Plates. In the last few
years, earthquake disasters have occurred in the country, for example
Aceh, Nias, Yogyakarta, Bengkulu, Tasikmalaya, Padang, and Palu. The
Palu earthquake which had an epicenter in Donggala Regency occurred
on September, 28, 2018 earthquake having a magnitude of 7.4 M. Damage
to building structures due to the earthquake was categorized as high,
recorded as damage to building structures, namely houses, shopping
centers, hotels, hospitals, similar buildings, 5,146 buildings, 4,612 injured
victims, 1,309 missing people. The problem that is the author's focus is
that when the earthquake occurred, it revealed that many vulnerable
residential buildings experienced light, medium and heavy damage. The
objective of this paper is to determine the level of economic, social, and
physical vulnerabilities in Donggala Regency as apart of anticipation
strategy for future strong earthquakes. The method used in this research
is processing data which is mostly sourced from BPS of Donggala
Regency to determine the vulnerability category from the weights
obtained by referring to Perka BNPB No.2 of 2012. The results of this
research show that the level of economic vulnerability for Donggala
Regency is categorized as high having weight of 1.8; It was also added
that the district's level of social and physical vulnerability was categorized
as high having weights of 5.4 and 3.7, respectively. | en_US |
