Perancangan Rest Area di Temon, Kulon Progo dengan Pendekatan Biophilic Design
Abstract
Kulon Progo which is one of the existing districts in Yogyakarta Province, which is planned to be the location of the new international airport development for Yogyakarta province, New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA), which will replace Adisutjipto airport in Yogyakarta city which is already crowded with visitors . Beyond that Kulon Progo in the long run will soon be built Highway Road (JJLS) that connects the area around D.I.Yogyakarta to Airport New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA). Along with the development of Kulon Progo is the need for facilities that can accommodate road transport users on the road to access from one place to another. Therefore it is necessary to have a place of rest both on the highway and the national road to facilitate road users rest when tired in the long journey.
This study aims to design a Rest Area on the South Traffic Line (JJLS) Temon, Kulon Progo using Biophilic Design approach. The design of this Rest Area is based on Appendix No.15 of the Director General of Highways Decree on Standard Area and Rest Area Facility. Through the Biophilic Design approach, the design of the Rest Area includes spatial planning and landscape planning based on Biophilic Design pattern criteria that have been integrated with variables in the US Green Building Council and Green Building Council Indonesia. With the Biophilic Design approach is expected to make building users feel closer to nature while resting Rest Area. Visual connections with nature, the presence of water and prospects are patterns chosen based on functional considerations in buildings. The three patterns are implemented in the building by utilizing the potential of design and simulation sites that describe the nature both visually and non-visual.
