STUDI MENGENAI JUMLAH TROMBOSIT DAN KADAR HEMATOKRIT PASIEN ANAK USIA <18 TAHUN DENGAN KEJADIAN SYOK PADA DEMAM BERDARAH DENGUE DI RS PKU MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA PERIODE JANUARI – DESEMBER 2016
Abstract
Background
Indonesia is the country with the highest prevalence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Southeast Asia. The highest prevalence is on the age 5-14 years old. From all of the DHF, the most case that causes death is Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS). Hematocrit and thrombocyte levels are one of the important indicator to rapidly assessing DSS.
Purpose
The purpose of this study was to know the the description of thrombocyte and hematocrit levels on the children’s age <18 years old with DSS in RS KU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta period January – December 2016.
Method
This study was used descriptive analysis method. This study was implementated from October – November 2017 in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogayakarta. The inclusion criteria in this study was patient diagnosed in the medical record as a DSS or patient who due with DSS criteria. This research did by analyze patients medical record. And the method of sampling was used consecutive sampling method.
Results
Based on this research, the number of DSS patients are 61 from 313 DHF patients. From 61 DSS patients just found 46 patient who had elevated hematocrit levels until >20% from the lowest hematocrit it patients and all of the DSS patient that had thrombocytopenia until <100.000 cell/mm3.
Conclusion
There was elevated hematocrit level and degreession of thrombocyte during shock phase, with the higher elevated of hematocrit levels and lower degeression of thrombocyte were in the female.
