dc.description.abstractThis study aims to examine the effects of Fiscal Decentralization as measured by the income and expenditure to the School Enrollment and Literacy in Yogyakarta and Central Java province. Population and sample in this study is all regencies/cities in Yogyakarta and Central Java on 2006-2015. The number of schools as the unit of analysis is all public and private elementary school. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results showed (1) Fiscal Decentralization has positive effect on School Enrollment and Literacy rate in Yogyakarta and Central Java. (2) GDP has no effect on School Enrollment and literacy rate in Yogyakarta and Central Java. (3) Teacher-Student Ratio has no effect on School Enrollment rate and Literacy in Yogyakarta and Central Java. (4) School Availability Ratio has no effect on the School Enrollment rate and the literacy rate in Yogyakarta and Central Java.en_US
