dc.description.abstractThe major objective of this study was to investigate needs and problem of English language use as perceived by vendors at Pakbara pier, Satun, Thailand. In order to know their needs and problems in their English use when dealing with foreign customers. The participant of this research consisted of 5 vendors working at Pakbara pier. The type of this research is qualitative. The data were collected by face-to-face interview and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings of the study revealed the participant mostly use English at work every day. Regarding the needs of English language use at the workplace, the participant needs to learn more English to use in general communication and selling with foreign customers. Regarding the problems, the participant had problems with lacking vocabulary knowledge which makes it impossible to trade properly and makes listening skill difficult.en_US
