    Abstract
This best practice aims to describe the use of a task based language teaching approach in teaching what people do and use to clean up a house in junior secondary school. From my experience as a pre-service English teacher after implementing the approach, I believe a teacher should foster a student's enthusiasm for learning English. This can be accomplished by incorporating home-based activities, particularly those related to household cleaning tasks and the tools used for such purposes. Several conditions that students tend to get bored by using textbooks in the learning material. In order to prevent this issue, as a teacher I recommend remembering and imagining the condition across the entire home, especially in the student’s own room, by using multimedia-mediated activities, organized by a task-based approach that sparks their interest in the teaching material.
