dc.description.abstractFinancing has been the most primary task of bank’s function for performing fund utilization in terms of banking. Another function is intermediacy for conventional bank by distributing 50-60 percent of third party fund to real sector. It is unlike Islamic banks whose national FDR amounted to 90 percent, showing an optimized banking option. Hence, it is pivotal to conduct a research comparing the quality of both financial models. The primary aim of this research is to compare impact of financial model applied by Mandiri Conventional Bank and that of Muamalat Bank as an Islamic Bank towards institutional asset increase. The research takes the form of descriptive comparative using quantitative approach. The data were analyzed using linear regression. It is revealed that the financial model applied by Mandiri Conventional Bank with determination value of 22,3% in which 77,7% of which is greatly influenced by other factors has more significant impact on asset increase than that applied by Muamalat Bank providing lesser impact with determination value of 11,8% or 98,2 % influenced by other factors. In conclusion, it is possible to say that the financial model applied by Mandiri Conventional Bank has greater impact on asset increase that that applied by Muamalat Bank.en_US
