Pengaruh Suhu Tubuh Hewan Coba Terhadap Volume Iskemia Otak Dan Angka Mortalitas Tikus (Rattus Norvegicus) Pasca Transient Bilateral Common Carotis Artery Occlusion (Bccao)
Abstract
Background : Some journals and meta-analyzes have shown an improvement of stroke with cold therapy or therapeutic hypothermia, and has conducted research on mortality in mice with changes in temperature, but there has been no research done in Indonesia. To determine whether there is influence changes in body temperature of experimental animals to the volume of cerebral ischemia and mortality rat (Rattus Norvegicus) post transient BCCAO.
Methods : The research was post test only control group design, using 43 white mouse aged 3 months, and weigh 150-200 grams. Induction of ischemia for 5 and 10 minutes with a 24-hour reperfusion. Group of rats was divided by the optimal temperature rat > 36ºC and non-optimal temperatures <36ºC. The volume of cerebral ischemia measured using the Cavalieri method on brain stained with TTC. Test of the effect of temperature on mortality in mice using kai Kuadrat. Test of the effect of temperature on the volume of cerebral ischemia using one-way ANOVA.
Results : There was no significant difference between the temperature with mortality (p> 0.05) and the mean volume of ischemia between groups (p> 0.05).
Conclusion : There is no effect of temperature on mortality rate and cerebral ischemia volume after transient BCCAO.
