ANALISIS DAN KOORDINASI SINYAL ANTAR TIGA SIMPANG YANG BERDEKATAN PADA JALAN KUSUMANEGARA – SULTAN AGUNG KOTA YOGYAKARTA ( ANALYSIS AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL COORDINATION AMONG THREE CONSECUTIVE INTERSECTIONS ON KUSUMANEGARA – SULTAN AGUNG STREET OF YOGYAKARTA CITY )
Abstract
Traffic density occurs at the junction in Kusumanegara - Sultan Agung roads as one of
the main routes in the city of Yogyakarta during rush hour look quite high. At Kusumanegara -
Sultan Agung roads there are three intersections are within 670 meters. With adverse short
distance and volume of vehicles that pass through these roads will cause traffic problems. The
problems that occurred because of the uncoordinated yet a third signal intersections on roads
Kusumanegara - The Sultan Agung, resulting in congestion is high enough. Therefore, an analysis
to determine the performance of the three intersections when the existing condition and to
coordinate the signal between the intersection with the most favorable alternative on
Kusumanegara - Sultan Agung roads.
In this research, used micro simulation traffic with VISSIM software to analyze existing
conditions and delays in the design of signal coordination. Primary data was collected by
surveying in the field, to get the volume of existing conditions and periods of peak hour periods of
quiet hours which will be a reference in the new planning cycle time by taking into account the
theory of coordination.
Based on the analysis, it is known that the third intersection on Kusumanegara - Sultan
Agung roads not well coordinated. Route from the East - West with an average delay of 74
seconds, the average travel time of 119 seconds and average trip speed of 20 kilometers / hour
with a service level E for a period of peak hours. For that, in doing some designing for
coordination between the intersection signal at the third intersection, by determining a new cycle
time is the same for all intersections. Of the two planning periods of peak hours, in getting the best
alternative to a new cycle of 141 seconds with a value of delay by an average of 30 seconds, the
value of the travel time from the sleeve Eastern intersection 1 headed into the arms of East
intersection 3 (the East - West) by 86 second, the average travel speed of 28 kilometers / hour with
a service level E. Values travel time from West sleeve intersection 3 headed to Western arms
intersection 1 (direction West - East) for 97 seconds, a delay of 37 seconds, an average speed of
travel 25 kilometers / hour with a service level E. for a period of quiet hours, from analysis to the
East - West get an average delay of 43 seconds, the average travel time of 88 seconds and an
average speed of 27 kilometers / hour with a service level E. of the two-hour period deserted
design, in getting the best alternative to the new cycle time of 101 seconds with a delay value by an
average of 19 seconds, the value of the travel time from East arm intersection 1 headed to East
arm intersection 3 (East direction - West) at 66 seconds, the average travel speed 37 km / h with a
service level E. Values travel time from West sleeve intersection 3 headed to Western arms
intersection 1 (direction West - East) at 100 seconds, the delay amounted to 21.43 sec average
travel speed of 24 kilometers / hour with a service level E. third cycle time equated to simplify the
design of intersection signal coordination.
