    Abstract
    Sodium nitrate industry in Indonesia is one of the chemical plant which has a quite good prospects. Sodium nitrate product has a broad enough market such as industrial ethyl acetate, and also used as a semi-finished material for making chemicals. Sodium nitrate factory with raw material of sodium hydroxide and nitric acid with a capacity of 15.000 ton / year is planned to operate for 330 days / year. The factory was established in Karawang, West Java, with a land area of 15.004 m2 and 145 employees. Sodium hydroxide needs for this factory are 1.009.0808 kg / hour and needs for nitrate acid as much as 1.315.0057 kg / hour. The product of sodium nitrate as much as 1.738.7298 kg / hour. The process of making sodium nitrate performed continuously in RATB. In the reactor, exothermic reaction takes place in the process of synthesis reaction and occurs at 60 °C with a pressure of 1 atm. From the economic analysis of this plant, it shown Return On Investment (ROI) 37,29% before tax and 18,64% after tax. Pay Out Time (POT) 2,11 years before tax and 3,82 years after tax. Break Even Point (BEP) by 46% and 25,12% Shut Down Point (SDP). Discounted Cash Flow Rate (DCF) accounted for 16,40%. From the feasibility analysis data above concluded that the plant is profitable and feasible to set.
