Dampak Tundaan pada Pengoperasian Palang Pintu Perlintasan Kereta Api di Jalan Timoho Yogyakarta Terhadap Konsumsi Bahan Bakar Minyak (the Impact of Delay Due to Operation of Railroad Doorstops on Timoho Street at Yogyakarta to Fuel Consumption)

Abstract

The increasing of private vehicle growth has generated some traffic problems, such as the numbers of delays and the queue length. It is occurred not only on the links and intersections, but also on railroad doorstops. Yogyakarta known as Student City is the second tourism destination next to Bali which has similar problem such as traffic jam in Timoho which is located in the East of Yogyakarta. The cases of this traffic jam problem effects on the fuel consumption which as well traffic violations.This research aims to analyze the correlation of delay and the length of queue towards the fuel consumption and the traffic violations in railroad doorstops on Timoho. The research is quantitative descriptive research. Data was taken from second day observation; Tuesday, and Saturday specifically in the evening. The data is analyzed using Shockwave method. The initial hypothesis is fuel consumption on idle, and the average of loss for BBM. The data shows that The longest closing duration happened on the second day (Saturday) at 19.33 for 230 second and the closing of cross duration was 126 second. The longest stopped delay was from north to south that happened on the first day (Tuesday) that was for 754 second by the length of queue was 2840.4 meters. Fuel consumption on idle was 3,03 liters/smp from north to south and 2,17 liters/smp from south to north. The average of loss for BBM (refined fuel oil) Premium was loss is Rp 100.743.344.126; Pertamax was loss is Rp 177.662.073.673; diesel fuel was loss is Rp 79.210.415.610; and Pertalite was loss is Rp 109.202.708.899; in 1 year/ 3286 railroad door stop closing.
