Hubungan Prophetic Parenting Dan Kebahagiaan Autentik Pada Remaja Muslim
Abstract
Authentic happiness is a fundamental right for every human being and to achieve it
can be influenced by certain factors, one of which is the role of parents in parenting,
especially with the prophetic parenting method. The purpose of this study was to
determine the relationship between prophetic parenting and authentic happiness in
Muslim adolescents. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a positive
relationship between prophetic parenting and authentic happiness in muslim
adolescents. Participants in this study were a total of 184 Muslims with the use of
12-23 years consisting of 136 women and 48 men, Muslim, and had lived together
and were raised by both parents. The measuring instrument used in this study used
two scales, namely the prophetic parenting scale of fathers and mothers
(Kurniawan, Rahadiani, Mafada, Rahmayani, & Fitria, 2015), and the Authentic
Happiness Inventory (AHI) scale by Zabihi, et al (2014). The results of this study
indicate that the research hypothesis is accepted. In this study, it was found that
prophetic parenting applied by fathers was a strong predictor of authentic happiness
for Muslim adolescents. In addition, it was also found that female Muslim
adolescents have a significant relationship between prophetic parenting and
authentic happiness. Then, based on the age factor, participants in the age group
above 18 years had a strong relationship between prophetic parenting and authentic
happiness.
